The why

"Blogs are so 2008. Noone reads them anyways. Why would you want to start one?"

Listen to yourself

I'm currently on vacation in the beautiful Dolomites, where everything is green and peaceful. Also the weather is pretty chilly (10-25˚C) compared to hot summer temperatures back in Ljubljana. The setting is perfect for me to take some time off, gather my thoughts and think about why I want to do this blog.

I've had this desire to write and share my thoughts for a long time. I wanted to start writing things for my blog. I wanted to post on LinkedIn. I wanted to start inspiring people. For months, I listened to other people's opinion how all of this is a waste of time. Meanwhile, deep inside I knew I wanted to do it.

It's not about other people, it's about me

This blog is for me. This is my way of gathering my thoughts and writing things down. This is my way of inspiring others while also practicing my writing. And now in this AI era, I think taking the time to write things down on your own is especially important. Yes, I could just tell ChatGPT or Claude to write me some interesting blog posts, but that's not the point of this blog. Yes, I will use AI to help me correct any grammar mistakes and other misuses, as English isn't my native language, though I'm pretty confident in it.

What this blog will be about

I'm still figuring out what exactly I want to post and how personal I want this blog to be. On the top of my mind, there are several instances and stories I've been wanting to share in this format.

All I can say for sure is that this blog will be a way for me to express my creativity, share my thoughts, share my ups and downs (past and future), share my journey from chemistry to tech and everything else I can think of.

This is for me. I'm doing it because I want to do it.
